Pól Murray


15 years coaching experience, 10 within the field of Strength and Movement.
Started out as a professional MMA fighter before turning to coach fighters. Coached Irelands first UFC fighter.
Founded and built Irelands first Full-time, purpose built MMA gym.

These days, everyone is wanting to become a personal trainer. Attend a six-week course, gaining a qualification and that is you ready to instruct others in how to train. Unfortunately, this does not make you an expert. For that to happen takes time, knowledge AND experience.
I have focused the last 15 years of my life towards that one goal. I have spent thousands, studying and certifying under the worlds greatest coaches and organisations. I have seen fads come and go, I have made every mistake there is to make and I have learnt from them. I believe the only way to improve is through discovering what actually works and what doesn’t, then refining it into a system that is scalable, so everyone can benefit from it no matter what their level. My years of actual in the fitness trenches experience has made me realise that health and fitness are simple.

It isn’t just about the six packs and biceps, it is about BETTER:

We are born to move. When we move our bodies how they were designed to, we grant ourselves freedom. Moving better means you begin to feel better. Joints start to loosen, walking, running, playing no longer causes pain. As this happens we begin to walk taller, hold ourselves prouder and look better. When you focus on “better”, everything else begins to happen organically.

“Before I started training with Pól I went to a gym with dozens of machines and treadmills.
I would go 2-3 times a week and spend up to 2 hours there. For all the time and effort I was putting in I seen very little results. I even paid a PT from the gym over £300 for a block of 10 sessions and by the third session I had realised I had made a mistake.
I hard about Pól through a friend and signed up for his early morning group training. In the first couple of months I seen an immediate difference in my strength and fitness.
He has a structured approach that mixes barbells, kettlebells and bodyweight and even though I was part of a large group, I always get a lot of focused attention. This is what I notice is different to most other coaches. He has such a depth of knowledge and experience that he is able to spot your mistakes before you notice them and either explain, regress or change the exercise so as you can complete it. On top of this, I love the fact the sessions are great craic and how he makes everyone feel welcomed.
He has built an amazing sense of community among his “tribe” as he like to call us.”
